The VIA Solomon VT6655 WLAN controller, a single chip solution featuring an IEEE 11a/b/g media access controller (MAC) and integrated baseband processor. Enabling data rates between wireless devices of up to 54 Mbps. WLAN modules based on the VIA VT6655 can deliver the bandwidth necessary for real-time streaming of high-definition digital multimedia content in home networks, and provide high-speed broadband access to multiple mobile users in a corporate environments or public hotspots. Designed with flexibility in mind, the VIA VT6655 is compatible with a choice of PCI 2.2, Mini-PCI or Cardbus interfaces, and offers seamless compatibility with the leading RF chips currently available, ensuring WLAN module makers benefit from a wider choice of RF vendors and potentially lower development costs. Backwards compatible with 802.11b standard, VIA VT6655 based devices enable smooth migration for all 802.11b-based networks, without the need to sacrifice existing WLAN infrastructure.

- Fix RF2959 RF SIFS&DIFS setting function
- Only Modify RSR in SCAN function
- Clear roam state in disconnected indication
- Improve the UBEC2452 RF ON/OFF power consumption
- Only clear SSID retry counter in SSID start cmd and roaming start function.
- Reset encryption mode in MiniportInitialize function
- Set init RSR to (BC|MC|UC)
- Update 802.11counter only for data packets
- Set default preamble to short
- Don't turn on RXON when HW/SW radioCtl is RF_OFF
- Set init channel in initial function
- Modify UBEC2452 RF functions
- Modify RFSetPwr function that only check the DiagCount outside the function (Caller checks it)
- Set Deauthentication cmd when deauth flag is TRUE in TX function
- Set basic rate to 1,2,5.5,11Mbps when AdHoc Network is created
- Set BSSID of AdHoc Network to local administrator address
- Modify Ubec2452 RF VGA Gain Offset function to 3 stages
- Modify the roaming function to support continual roaming or roaming once, and scanning channels or not
- Fix the RX Bcn time stamp offset
- Always imply channel setting function and don't check the previous channel value
- Check the local ID for specific functions
- Sync the 802.11h functions with ADT test version driver
- Clear BCN buffer ready function when disconnection or deauthentication
- Fix 802.11counter updating bugs and sync the same type counters at the same functions
